The day is almost here. We heard about the collaboration between emcee/producer Lushlife and production trio CSLSX a few years ago during a session with Lush for our Choice/Cuts series. That feels like a lifetime ago. However, we are happy to finally get to share with you - Ritualize. Hopefully this record will bring Lushlife and CSLSX all the recognition that they so deserve. Check out the new lyric video from Lushlife + CSLSX for the "This Ecstatic Cult" featuring Killer Mike! For visuals, they recruited Philly grafitti artist GRIMGRIMGRIM to provide the lettering and artwork. Keep a look out for Ritualize, which will be dropping next week on Friday, February 19 via Western Vinyl.

Nearly a year ago, we had chance to hear Lushlife's collaboration with Ariel Pink, called “Hong Kong (Lady of Love),” when he performed it live for the first time opening for Kool Keith at Kung Fu Necktie. Well, we are very happy to get to share with you the studio recording of the single, which will be found on Lush's forthcoming LP Ritualized. The record was produced by CSLSX, and will be out on February 19 via Western Vinyl. On the track, Raj Haldar’s vocals emerge from the dark undercurrent of synth, leading the rush that is surrounded by the polish of Pink’s sensual chorus. It’s sharp-tongued and silk-adorned.

Ritualize Lushlife’s forthcoming collaborative album with CSLSX is slated to be released February 19^th via Western Vinyl.  It’s latest sonic snapshot “Strawberry Mansion” (Feat. Freeway) rides a smooth island beat, raising the temperature as Lushlife’s relentless steady-handed rhymes combine with furious fire of Freeway in a hometown homage.
