Modern Baseball just premiered their second offering, "Rock Bottom," from their upcoming album You're Gonna Miss It All over at Brooklyn Vegan. The record will be out on February 11 via Run For Cover Records. They'll also be heading on tour this spring with The Wonder Years, Defeater, Citizens and Real Friends, which will be making a hometown stop on Saturday, April 12 at the Electric Factory.

Modern Baseball shared a brand new track yesterday called "Your Graduation." The band also announced that they'll be releasing their sophomore full-length album entitled You're Gonna Miss It All on February 11 via Run For Cover Records, and will be hitting the road for an extensive tour with The Wonder Years, which will be rolling into town on Saturday, April 12 at the Electric Factory. The LP was produced by Modern Baseball band members Ian Farmer and Jake Ewald, mixed by Jon Low (The National, Local Natives, Sharon Van Etten, etc.) and mastered by Will Yip (Title Fight, Balance and Composure, etc.). Now, that's a lot of good news - cheers, fellas!

Modern Baseball performed their breakout album Sports in its entirety at an acoustic/house show last month to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of America and The Philadelphia Arts In Education Partnership. Tonight Drexel University's WKDU continues their month-long curation of Tuesday Tune-Out at PhilaMOCA with a great lineup of up-and-comers featuring Modern Baseball and Radiator Hospital's Sam Cook-Parrott. Modern Baseball is a young, local four-piece that will actually make you happy about the resurgence of emo/pop-punk happening in music these days. Their tunes are uber catchy, which made it not so surprising that their LP Sports received the reissue treatment from Run For Cover Records. And you should already know how I feel about Sam Cook-Parrott's brilliant lyrics and tunes. Let's just hope that he didn't forget that he's performing at Tuesday Tune-Out this evening and schedule himself for work again like last time. Yeah, I showed up for that one. Modern Baseball recently premiered a new song called "Voting Early," which is exclusively streaming over at Property of Zack. The track appears on Soft Speaks Records' Fest 12 compilation, which was pressed on limited editon Halloween orange vinyl (400 copies). All proceeds from the release will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
