Such Hounds

Such Hounds release 7" 'Drink to Sleep' + play The Shop on 05.06

With the spring comes the longing for travel, and, with it, the need for good soundtrack for the road. Notwithstanding the title, Brooklyn's Such Hounds new 7" "Drink to Sleep" helps us fill that need. The track walks the line between Americana and Dinosaur Jr. style wall of distorted guitars. We encourage you to travel to The Shop on May 06 for their upcoming live show.

Such Hounds unveil video for "The Other Side" + play Glasslands and The Knit in March

Just a few weeks ago The Deli's editors picked Such Hounds as the best Folk/Americana NYC band among the ones that submitted to be considered for participation in our Year End Best of Poll for Emerging Artists. Today they premiered their ne video for single "Their Other Side" on American Songwriter and MTVU also featured it. Such Hounds win The Deli's Best of NYC 2013 Poll's Open Submissions (FOLK ROCK/AMERICANA category)

We are all looking forward to warmer weather on days like today, but rock Americana quartet Such Hounds has a few reservations about the coming Summer season they'd like to share on their latest EP 'I Hate Summer.' Compared to their previous self-titled EP, their latest record has a welcome sense of urgency ready to shit-kick any barn-raising party into high-gear (assuming you attend barn-raising parties of course). Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good old-fashioned heartland rock jams, whether you hate the summer or not. Check out their single "Sold My Soul" below. - Mike Levine (@Goldnuggets)

We added this song to The Deli's playlist of Best Rootsy songs by emerging NYC artists - check it out!
