The lady and gents of Thin Lips just shared their second offering from the band's forthcoming LP Riff Hard. "My Mouth Is Skinned Like An Apple" is filled with natural pop vocal melodies, which have always seemed to come effortlessly to Chrissy Tashjian (Dangerous Ponies, The Bee Team); however, the track eventually gets to the business of staying true to the group's album title. Riff Hard comes out May 20 via Lame-O Records, and Thin Lips will be celebrating its arrival that evening at Everybody Hits.

Lame- O Records residency at Boot & Saddle goes out with a bang this evening with a formidable lineup. The Superweaks concoct their own brand of power-pop, one, which unites thick twin-lined guitar riffs forging a path for the memorably melodic universally emotive lyrics.  Torn from a personal place, the band showcases internal grit, fleshed out in consistent streamlined swells. Three Man Cannon celebrates their freshly released record Will I Know You Then, via local indie label Lame-O Records, with a show this evening at PhilaMOCA. This record has a crispness with melody and lyrics that lasso you in; the four-piece continues to refine its sound. The songs exhibit an explosive capability while remaining reeled in until those moments arrive, letting the weight of the words breathe into your system, punctuated by a jagged edge of guitar riding a the tender sway. Tonight, labelmates Thin Lips offer support, wielding a meshing of intense, emotive vocals, smacking backend and heavy power riffs.
