New Video: "Arranged" (Live - BrooklynVegan Acoustic Sessions) - Abi Reimold

Below is a live solo performance by Abi Reimold of "Arranged," which is the opening track from her latest album Wriggling (Sad Cactus). It was recorded in Philadelphia inside a defunct train tunnel with a skylight for BrooklynVegan Acoustic Sessions. You can catch Riemold this evening at The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery for Philly Radness, where you'll also experience an "interactive pop-up skatepark," as well as the sounds of Queen of Jeans and Hemming. Debut Grayling EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

The duality of introspectively emotive lyricism meeting the outpouring of external release come to a head when Grayling, a.k.a. Lexi Campion (formerly of Edelweiss), peers inward whilst pushing outward. The result, her debut EP Everything That Burns (which was recently released via NDE Records), is a musical tug of war - heavy and gripping. Hold on tight.

RETROACTION - 360 VIDEO!

The Retroaction are a 4 piece rock group originally out of Hamilton. They sound like they're a British invasion group...that came from America. One of the last bands to record at the original Porcelain Records studio as well. Look at this crazy music video they threw together for the track "Little Strange". Move the camera around yourself as you watch. It has 360 capabilities. Took me at least 6 spins to realize this....go see Retroaction at Homegrown Hamilton this Friday! - Kris Gies

Slonk Donkerson brings their '80s guitar rock to Palisades on 04.23

Most people remember the '80s for post punk, new wave and cheesy synth pop, but that decade produced also a lot of great guitar rock bands like R.E.M. and Weezer that prepared a fertile ground for the college rock and grunge explosions of the '90s. Slonk Donkerson's super solid debut album, entitled 'The Lunar Martini Motorbike Club and Their Respective Destinies,' effortlessly gathers several of the aforementioned influences in ten powerful tracks. Older single 'Watching Every Channel at Once' is still their catchiest, but the entire albums offers a rare songwriting consistency. Check out opening track Sonata and don't miss their live appearance at Palisades on April 23.
