Joe Goodkin “Paper Arrows"

Joe Goodkin released his latest album, Paper Arrows, today. This is the first new music from this singer/songwriter since 2017, and is a tribute to the band of the same name he founded over a decade ago.

Compared to his previous EP’s this album is more stripped down, raw, intimate approach from Goodkin and it really pays off.

DPCD "False Virtue"

DPCD has released his sophomore album, False Virtue, and the video for the album’s lead single, “No Will”, below. This is primarily the work of singer and songwriter Alec Watson.

For this album Watson was joined by Samantha Connour, Jesse Bielenberg, Kenan Serenbetz, and Ethan Parcell.

Watson’s music is perfect for a cool Fall Midwestern evening, and that could not be felt more than in the album’s closing track “Moon Gazing”.

Amanda McCarthy enchants in new single "I Love Who You Are," plays Radio Bean tonight!

Amanda McCarthy had already dazzled New England with her full-length record, Road Trip, this past summer. However, all good artists build on their successes, and Amanda is one of them: her brand new single “I Love Who You Are” is out now. The single is splendid folk-pop that is suitable for all moods; its message is of love and perseverance. The snappy snare rhythm, brilliant acoustic melodies, and larger-than-life harmonious choruses are led by McCarthy’s enchanting vocals, driving the message home. The song grows with joy and uplifts spirits in typical McCarthy fashion. If it is the end of 2019 for McCarthy, the single is a rich cadence indeed. The New Hampshire resident will be performing at Radio Bean in Burlington, Vermont, this evening. We are streaming the brand new single for your enjoyment below. - Rene Cobar

Half Stack's New EP, Aw Hell

Country-twinged rock group Oakland’s Half Stack just released their latest EP, Aw Hell. The collection features four tunes that showcase the group’s lovely picking, twangy guitars and lyrics that are at times sad, at times funny. Self-described “choogle” and psychedelic rock, Half Stack is worth a good listen. -Lucille Faulkner
