Devin Kain aka Dozer releases another single - “Love Letters”

Bellingham, WA transplant Devin Kain (now based in NYC) also goes by the moniker DOZER because of his fierce production prowess - as heard on tracks by Grayskul and My Dad Bruce. Stepping up to the mic after a significant hiatus, he has been releasing a string of singles via his soundcloud page since February. “Love Letters” follows a narrative told from a collection of letters written by star-crossed lovers and discovered by the MC in the pages of a Shakespeare book in the library. Its Mediterranean scales and orchestration speak to the fabric of the tale. It’s dusty and sepia and lovely. It’s also a free download - for now. - BrokeMc

PREMIERE: Korgy & Bass - "Bernieman 2016"

Just because the Oregon Primaries have passed doesn't mean political fever has in any way tempered down. Bernie Sanders won the hearts of Oregonians and many aware voters across the United States alike, and in celebration of his desired socially justified campaign, Korgy & Bass are releasing a new song and video in his name.

Today we bring you "Bernieman 2016," a delightful trip hop ditty with an equally tripped out video. Pulling audio samples from some of Bernie's most beloved, exciteable speeches, "Bernieman 2016" pumps you up for the presidential hopeful in a way unlike any other political involvement tactic, using lo-fied beats and swirls of colors to stimulate the conscious mind.

Their new sh*t is dropping on Cavity Search Records, with a release show happening at the Alberta St. Pub on June 22nd with Catherine Feeny and Chris Johnedis so check it out.

Start your morning out with Korgy & Bass' chill sounds below and remember to stay woke.

Eff Yoo drops new video “God Hates Me”

Sometimes you want some straight New York raps on some straight New York beats. You could head down to Times Square and try your luck with the rabble of CD-R hawkers or you could check out Eff Yoo. His Sophomore album The Eff Word explores his battered psyche over a smattering of classic hard-hitting boom bap. In the video for the most recent single, “God Hates Me,” Eff portrays a Priest seeking to reconnect with his faith. His first lines lay it all out, “I’m an abortion survivor. C-Section saved me, Section 8 raised me; Food stamps daily.” He captures the struggle with a gritty tangibility that you’ll be scraping off your skin days after listening. - BrokeMc
