ODDITY has release a video for the first single "Pressure's Gone" from their forthcoming LP Settle Down. The album will be self-released on June 24th.

With their fuzzy garagey sound and distorted, nasal vocals, The Britanys' songs will throw you back to an older, grittier New York City - a place we've recently begun to miss. Not the seriously dangerous city of the '60s, when the rock'n'roll lifestyle implied wavering between life and death, but a more recent and safe Big Apple, when Alphabet City still felt sketchy, the scene's action was centered around the LES, and Williamsburg was still a rather ugly and cheap neighborhood with potential - those were the late '90s/early aughts, by the way. It’s no surprise, then, to find that the band worked on their most recent material with Gordon Raphael (producer of The Strokes' "Is this it?"). Single "Get My" (streaming) channels this modern garage rock style, a mixture of rock ‘n’ roll and pop that has the "Made in NYC" stamp all over it.  The Britany's will share the stage with Frankie Rose, The So So Glos, and more at Out in the Streets Festival (June 16-17 at the Vander Ende-Onderdonk House in Queens) and are working on releasing a new EP in October.  - Madeleine Grossman

Since coming onto the Philly music scene, Mumblr is a band that has been consistently churning out some seriously interesting material. Led by the versatility of frontman Nick Morrison’s vocals, the quartet continues to refine its sound on its newest LP The Never Ending Get Down, which is out today via Austin-based label Fleeting Youth Records. I’m totally rooting for these guys to get more national attention and tours in the near future, and their latest album is sounding like another big step in the right direction. Tomorrow night, you can catch Mumblr tearing through songs from their new record as well as some of their older favorites at PhilaMOCA. It’s a rad lineup in which you also find the blistering “shitpunk” of Mannequin Pussy and the post-something power-gaze of Amanda X. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12^th St., 8pm, $10, All Ages - Alexis V.

On their sophomore album Burden Piece, recently released via Topshelf Records, Clique continues to leave their vulnerability unsheltered. The resulting accessibility resonates as the band expresses daily contemplations of emotions in quick flashes of melodic rock, spilling out doubts, fears, and frustrations of the daily routine in a downhill thrust. Tonight, at Everybody Hits, a celebration of the record will occur, where they’ll be joined by grungy tourmates Stove, while the speed-up-and-cruise pop-punk of locals Loose Tooth and the relaxed, incisive, open, bedroom-rock tones of Self Help complete this slate. As a show with The Binary Sea and Lou looms this Saturday at Underground Arts, Ceramic Animal has released a new music video for the track “Maybe”. Directed by Oliver Samuels, the band embraces nature, emerging from a hole and casually performing amongst a picnic, while suited up along the water. The tone is loose and playful, especially when nature calls.
